GENERAL INFORMATION
PARTICIPATION
Participation is limited to registered Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons who are current members of
their National Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Societies, and registrars and residents in training who
have a letter of recommendation from the Director of the Plastic Surgery Training Unit where they are
working. Special rates for registrars and residents in training will be available.
LANGUAGE
The official language of the course will be English but simultaneous translation to Italian will be available.
CME CREDITS
CME credits will be requested for the meeting as well as Italian ECM credits.
MEETING LOCATION
The meeting will be held on the island of San
Servolo. Public transport by ferry boat leaves from Piazza Zaccaria. Times of public ferry are available on the web-site of the island of San Servolo www.sanservolo.provincia.venezia.it. The conference however will organise a ferry from Piazza San Marco to coincide with the beginning and end of the conference every day. Times of these ferry boats will be available near the time of the conference and published on the conference web-site.
SCIENTIFIC EXHIBITION
We will be organising a Scientific Exhibition during the conference.
Special workshops will be organised on new technology and materials for Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery.
CANCELLATIONS OF REGISTRATION
In case of cancellation without replacement, the fee less handling charges of Euros 60 will be
refunded, provided a written request is received by CQ Travel before 10th May, 2006.
No refund can be made if notice of cancellation is received after this date.
Any refund will be made after the conference.
HOTEL CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be communicated to CQ Travel by email or fax. No telephone cancellations will be
accepted.
No penalty for cancellations until 90 days before arrival.
For cancellations from 89 to 60 days before arrival a 30% penalty on the whole amount will be applied.
For cancellations from 59 to 30 days before arrival a 40% penalty on the whole amount will be applied.
For cancellations from 29 to 4 days before arrival a 60% penalty on the whole amount will be applied.
For cancellations from 3 days before arrival, a 100% penalty will be applied.
WEATHER
The weather is generally warm in June, with temperatures around 25C. Summer lightweight clothes are suggested.
TRANSPORT TO VENICE FROM THE AIRPORT.
The scheduled buses from and for the airport arrive and depart from Piazzale Roma square. To reach the other areas of Venice from the bus station, scheduled water transport is available. Remember to check which water station is near to your hotel Timetables with times of ferries are available in ferry boat station in Piazzale Roma.
BANKS
The banks in Italy are generally open Monday to Friday from 08.20 until 13.30 and then open on an afternoon from 14.45 until 15.45. Foreign exchange offices are open all day long.
